Angela Cunningham, Candidate for Congress in Wisconsin’s First District, has taken action to ensure individuals and families have access to resources they need during the coronavirus pandemic.
She took to Facebook to announce she is using her campaign platform to disseminate information about individuals and organizations that are mobilizing to meet the community’s needs.
Her campaign team has spent the last several days contacting agencies to ask for information about available resources. She understands that many families are not prepared for a crisis and will need assistance in the coming weeks.
Cunningham states, “It is important that we do not forget about those who are less fortunate. Many individuals and families in the district cannot afford to stock their pantries with groceries and cannot afford to take off work. Thank you to every person, program and organization dedicated to feeding and helping those in need in our communities. I cannot, with good conscience, continue to ask for campaign resources without first using my platform to equip our families with resources to help meet their basic needs.”
Her website shows a list of resources in each county of district one. Cunningham says “I will update my website as resources expand and change. I encourage anyone able to extend their help to reach out to program contacts about making a donation or volunteering your time.”
Anyone with information about available community resources and/or donation and volunteer needs should email Angela Cunningham for Congress at firstname.lastname@example.org.
